Plastic materials are not biodegradable. Instead, they break down into smaller pieces about 5mm in length known as microplastics. They end up in the water we drink, the food we eat, and even the air we breathe.

Producing these posters involved a process of collecting pieces of plastic from the beach and households. They were carefully put together to form structures resembling what looked like food at first glance such as eggs, tacos, or noodles. This concept design would be applied to Translink’s platform signage to raise awareness.
